Bastet - Goddess of Childbirth & Love

Our Egyptian line of stamps represents symbols and images that are widely known as being symbols of strength and representation of the basis of life. Continuing our line of Ancient Egyptian Gods metal design stamps is Bastet. Bastet gained the power of presiding over childbirth and expectant mothers sometime after the domestication of the house cat. This role symbolized both her growing power and influence and high fertility levels associated with the domestic cat.

Bastet or Bast is the goddess of love, beauty, fertility, cats, dance, music and war she has been known to makem most of her appearances as anthroporphic cat and sometimes as a human. Bastet is the daughter of Ra and Isis.
